Holy Terror: Protesters Desecrate Church in Anti-ICE Rampage

In the latest episode of progressive barbarism masquerading as moral virtue, a mob of anti-ICE leftist rioters recently stormed Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota—right in the middle of Sunday worship. They disrupted the service, intimidated congregants, forced families to flee, and ultimately shut worship down altogether.

This wasn’t protest. It was an invasion—plain and simple. A deliberate desecration of one of the few remaining places in America where ordinary citizens should be able to gather peacefully without being harassed by self-appointed enforcers of open-borders fanaticism.

Why this church? Because one of its pastors, David Easterwood, also serves in a leadership role with ICE. In the fevered logic of the radical left, enforcing federal immigration law is now an unforgivable sin—one that apparently justifies turning a house of God into a political battleground.

The irony is impossible to miss. The same activists who shriek about “separation of church and state” when a Christian prays in public had no problem dragging their politics straight into the pews when it suited them.

In the city where the reckless “Defund the Police” movement was born, this attack was no spontaneous outburst. It was planned and coordinated by the usual suspects—groups well-trained and funded in urban criminal disruption and emboldened by Governor Tim Walz’s and Mayor Jacob Frey’s persistent anti-law-enforcement rhetoric.

Adding to the spectacle was Don Lemon—former CNN hack turned self-styled “independent journalist”—who showed up not to report, but to cheerlead. Video footage captured him embedded with the mob, looking perfectly at home as worship was disrupted.

These invaders weren’t there for dialogue. They came to intimidate, to profane, and to make it clear that no space—even a church—is off limits. They shouted slogans, demanded ICE be abolished, and harassed families, including small children.

Federal authorities have since arrested several perpetrators, and the Department of Justice is pursuing charges, including potential violations of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, which explicitly protects places of worship from force, threats, and physical obstruction. Conspiracy charges are also under consideration, and Cities Church—a Southern Baptist congregation—is rightly exploring its own legal action.

The left loves to sermonize about “sacred spaces” when it comes to abortion clinics or drag-queen story hours. Those, we’re told, are untouchable. But a Bible-believing church? Fair game. In their moral universe, Christianity—especially the kind that refuses to bow to progressive orthodoxy—is the real enemy.

These aren’t activists. They’re vandals in activist costumes—hostile to any law they dislike and eager to target those who enforce it. It’s the same impulse that fuels attacks on police, riots in the streets, and intimidation in everyday public spaces. No restraint. No decency. No limits.

To the invaders of Cities Church: you didn’t win converts or advance your cause. You violated a sanctuary—and in doing so, you made the case for strong borders, strong laws, and real consequences for those who believe themselves above both.

May the congregation of Cities Church continue to worship in peace, confident that the God they serve is far greater than any chanting mob—or its media enablers.
